Just in case anybody wants to show up early, I'll be on vac. the 3rd & 4th also. There is also a small pond that might have some decent catfish in it, if you want to bring some poles. There is also access to the river away from the shooting area. JIM.
I planned to come out friday night if its ok. Its a 4 hour drive for me so i don't wanna have to get up at the crack on saturday.
Fine by me. I'll warn the sheep :gag:.
We try to have the pig on by 8am. Pig is usually done around 1 or so.Looks like we will be heading that way Friday afternoon after wifey gets off work. We will likely come about as far as St. Louis and then stay the night and head on over Saturay morning. That will help break up the drive since we will have our son with us. What time are ya all starting to show up? I am guessing we will have to leave @ 2-3PM on Saturday to head back and get home that evening. It is about a 6.5 hour drive.
JIM is supposed to be contacting a few locals on this. I think we're going to get one that's ready to go straight on the spit. It'll save Jim and I alot of work. It'll cost a wee bit more but it'll worth it not to have the hastle.Got the cooker out and cleaned up. It is all loaded up and ready to go.
Where are we at on getting a pig?

Technically speaking........you need an out-of-state license to fish anywhere in the state. So, this is a private pond that I won't have to worry about an out of state license, right?

As long as we don't get rowdy enough that the cops show up.......you should be fine. If by chance you do get caught,........you get caught.

I wouldn't worry. The cops haven't showed up yet. I think they are scared:scared:. JIM.
Yep. All water in IL is state owned in a communistic kind of way![]()
That law is a bit different than here is why he's asking. If its on private property here its not mandatory to have a license. Illinois Sucks!![]()
