2 XJ D44's @ Rancho PnP

Stopped by the pick n' pull in Rancho Cordova today and saw two dark grey XJ's sitting side by side. BOTH had complete D44's.

Yup. Manual had 3.07 gearing and auto had 3.55 gearing.

You don't really want that gearing, but you might need it to match your front. But those gears suck with any size tire. I had those gears in my 91' yj with 33" muds and it sucked big time.

someone go pick these up, I pulled one from PnP for just under $100 with 3.55 gears complete and sold it within 3 days online for over $400 plus they paid shipping (ForwardAir). $300 for an hour of work is pretty good if ya ask me

Yeah, I was planning on doing that, but have to work and am going to see my family in IL on friday for the next 10 days. Awesome deal there. My bro just paid $300 for his dana 44 at James Autowreckers which is still considered a good deal for a bolt in dana 44, but around a $100 complete is amazing. I was planning on making some quick dough, but someone in this club anywhere in the Sierra Chapter or even SoCal should get these axles and keep them in the chapter.

Now's your chance people to get that dana 44 rear axle at an unbelievable price. Get it now or U will regret not upgrading your wimpy dana 35 or 8.25 27 spline. Heck I might even get 1 for my 98' zj and then add the coil buckets etc., and then add the disc brakes from my zj dana 35 to this axle and have a disc braking rear dana 44 in my dd.

Big Red, yes im aware of how shitty 3.07 but i need to match my front and school is starting soon so i will only have weekends to work and i dunno if i wanna swap both axles in one weekend.

I finished college not to long ago and know how busy that is, I was going full time school and full time work and was married and found my house in Cali right after mid terms. I sure miss school though, I'm really looking to go back for my MBA. Who cares what the ratio is in the dana 44, get it and regear later even if you have to run it in 2wd only until you can regear both axles.

Dont recall. Im pretty sure at least one was an auto... cant say for sure regarding the other...

Its too bad I didnt have an extra couple hundred layin around that day... I coulda had me a couple nice 44's.

Did you notice if either of these Jeeps had a hitch on them. I need a hitch for the 01 XJ I just got. Also any other useable parts like armor or tow hooks on them. Thanks.
