Got them in today, still need to rebuild a rear shaft, figure out bump stops, limit straps, and finish some welding, but it feels awesome on the driveway. At full bump I'll have about an inch of shaft showing and 1.5" clear of the rear fenders. At full extension the tire measures 20.5" clear of the fender. Not bad for a 14" shock.
Still haven't had time to finish my xj, but took the wife's wj up to apple hill to get a Christmas tree today. Lots of snow covered roads and parking lots. Got to get a little slideways. Rescued a lady in a 300c who was stuck on an ice covered hill by driving it out for her (not alot of tow points on one of those things).Great time.

Well with all this work, haven't finished the jeep yet, but I ordered a set of 37"x12.50x15 creepy crawlers for the jeep. If anybody wants to buy 4 35x14.50x15 pitbull mad dogs with only about 8000 miles on them I'm looking for $700, but I'll go $600 for my fellow naxjaer's. New shoes and a new rear suspension, gotta get her done for some wheeling for my birthday. Hoping for snow, but may have to just try out prairie city if we don't get any weather before the end of January.
The width is great for side hilling, feels super stable. The dusy was definitely the tightest trail I've run, but it still wasn't a problem. Keeps people from parking too close too. I'm also welded front and rear, so the turning radius is more if an issue than the width.

Broke the drivers side rear shaft again. Had to bring it home on the trailer, but at least it drove on and off the trailer. I can't find a definitive answer, but a cut to length 44 chromoly shaft should work in the 44a right? Yukon is the only company I can find that sells wj length shafts and they want $400 each. I can get nitro cut to length shafts for $159 each.
Going to swap in a new axle shaft in the wj when I get home today. She want to take it out tomorrow just to get out into the woods somewhere. Looks like we might be finishing up the overtime for now and I might actually have time to finish the xj. Rebuilt a rear shaft for it the other day. Need to finish welding 1 of the lca's, put the driveshaft in, rewire the winch with the new solenoid, fill the tcase, replace the down pipe, put new bolts in the rear axle shafts, and re mount my tranny cooler and she should be ready to wheel.
Not yet, waiting on funds and still not sure which route to go. Picked up a shaft at pick n pull to get it up and running. Found a stripped caliper mounting bolt while swapping the shaft last night, so now I have to deal with that. If I can find a deal on a abs full floating axle, I'd like to go that route but may end up just going with chromos. What's crazy is the 60 in my rig is welded on stock 30 splines and I push it way harder than she does. May add some more bracing to the truss, but I think it's just the extra 70-80 ftlbs from the v8 that is snapping the shafts.
