2 door or 4 door

No not at all, a ton of people love the 2 doors, there is no change in them at all, except for the fact they only have 2 doors, and they allow more clearance to trim in the rear.

I would love a 2 door Cherokee, a lot of people like them better for wheeling than 4 doors.

i like it because there is more room for your arm to hang out the window in the summer time. they also look way batter imo. i could be biased though. many of the 2 doors i have seen are also a stick so theres another plus. the driver door likes to fall off tho. the hinge will eventually pull out of the body then its time to break out the buzz box.

i dont see any advantage or disadvantage at wheeling, other than the visibility around u is better in a 2 door. more glass and less pillars.

the only thing i've heard is the two door body flexes more due to the less one set of pillars. Probably not enough to matter though.

I wheel a 2 door and it is a little less ridged than a 4door but it's a UNIBODY! We are less ridged than everybody. As I understand the 2door is lighter by a few pounds but it doesn't matter.............. wheel what you like.

50lb. difference iirc
I feel like I'm centered more between the axles in a 2dr
4door is too SUV for me:firedevil :moon:

I have a 2 door and a four door. My 2 door is my trail only rig and I flogg the thing, it just wont die! My 2 door on the other hand, is my daily driver. Im 6'4" and the 4 door is so chitty for space, Now my 2 doors no hummer but the difference is huge imo.

That reminds me Ive been on naxja for over a year and im not a member yet. It seems like everybody has pics of thier rigs on here but me. Gonna sign up and show yall my jeeps.

I've had 3 2dr Cherokees. A 4dr has a stronger body because of the forth post. A 2dr will start showing signs of stress at the vent hole in the B post. Then at the top of the B post on the roof you'll start to see a crack. Maybe signs of a crack at the top of the A post, were the roof meets the post. If you want to keep that XJ for a long time, (since the drive train could last for hundreds of thousands of miles) put a frame stiffener on it. When I finally put a TNT stiffener and cross member on my 91, the Jeep stopped creaking and moaning on twisty trails. I've been 4 wheelin in Colorado since 1975 and drag racing since 1967.

Most experts agree that a 2 door is a far better wheeling rig then a 4 door.

I wheel a 2 door and have no talent for picking a line, and yet I always seem to make it.

The whole 2 door is better for tall people I dont agree with. I have a four door and love it. Easy in and out still. Also I sit with my seat all the way forward leaving about 10" between my stomach and the bottom of the wheel. Its comfortable, also the seats are ultra nice rocked all the way back and the backrest forward a bit. Legs dont fall asleep feels like Im stuck in the seat. Ohh and Im 6'6" with a pretty much equal size legs and torso, just to help you imagine how I look in the seat.
