2.5L to 4.0L YJ Swap

Word on the street is I need a new wiring harness, from the same YEAR and MODEL (YJ). Could anyone varify this, as well as help me find out where one finds a wiring harness.

What model year ??? if it is pre injection [carbed] you can take the computer completely out of the system, use a GM HEI ignition/distributor out of straight 6 chevy full size van and thats pretty much all you need besides the stock ECU under the windshieldwasher/coolant overflow tank. Go to dejanews and do a search on 'nutter bypass', you will see Mike Romain's name pop up alot, he's got some good suggestions and got me thru our 89's Weber conversion and nutter bypass problems... Oh, you do need to keep two wires to feed the dash tac which gets its signal from the computer behind the dashboard...

Is the 2.5 really that bad?? I have 2.5 badging on my 94 4.0 and I have been thinking about getting a 2.5 with a stick and putting some low low gears in it. i know i'll never be able to pass anyone but i figure I won't break anything.

It struggles. Right now its got 4.56's and 36's, soon to have 39.5's with 4.88's, and the I6 would help a ton.
