You fused that power socket right? Fuse as close as possible to the battery end of the wire... if the wire insulation wears through downstream of the fuse, you'll be glad you did.

Yep, it's fused. I used pretty thick wire for the supply too.

Interesting - those taillight guards were designed specifically for the EU taillights. Notice how the horizontal slats sit at the same level as the different lenses; one that had been intended for US-market lights would've had them running across the lens in the wrong places.
