I have been helping my friend maintain this car, From brakes, to Tre's and hubs.. she has put a decent amount into the front end over the last few months..

Right now i am trying to diagnose a new issue, When doing a tight turn, there seems to be a slight grinding noise (almost like a rock in the dust shield)

But when turning sharp either direction in reverse, something is really fighting back.. you have to give it a bit of throttle.

There seems to be a slight brake squeel in the Drivers front area when reversing straight back.

I just did the hubs 3 weeks ago, brake pads looked very even at the time..

I have not had a chance to pull it apart (problem started this evening) does this sound like a faulty caliper? Or is there something obvious i am missing?

Cv shaft? Did you torque the wheel bearings to spec? If you did not, you'll be replacing them soon.

x2. id look into the outer portion of the cv scott. if its an auto. pull it out of park, jack up front tires and see if you can recreate it by hand. may help you narrow it down a little.

Got it all figured out..

2 of the 3 front hub bolts were gone, and the other one was half way out..

I remember really reafin' on them.. so i find it extremely odd.. But i bought new bolts and gave them a good dose of red loctite and torque'd them down again..

Very interesting..
