1997 Cherokee with 125k miles. (Fading) black ext/grey int. 4.0, 5spd, NP231. This is my daily driver however it does need some work. Tags are current. $2900 firm. Seven one four - two nine two - five zero one zero.
The good:
- 5 inch Fabtech short arm kit in front with upper/lower arms, braided brake lines, 2.25 Dirt Logic reservoir shocks f/r (rears thru the floor), RE rear springs. Custom track bar mount and 4130 track bar and cross over steering with Heims and drop pitman arm.
- 33 x 10.5 BFG A/T's with 70 percent tread left on factory "Canyon" rims.
- Dana 30 with 30/30 spline Alloy axles, ARB, 4.56 R&P.
- 8.25 with stock axles, Detroit Truetrac and 4.56 R&P.
- SYE and CV driveshaft.
The bad:
- Death wobble kicks in around 45 - 50 mph. I am 99 percent sure it's related to ball joints and/or unit bearings.
- Check engine light is on. I had a distributor go bad and put a new one in at which point the check engine light came on. I've checked timing and tried clearing the codes but it pops right back on. I am thinking something may be wrong with the new distributor I bought to kick the CEL on but the Jeep runs great.
- Dana 30 shafts aren't currently installed. I am running 2wd dummy shafts right now because the Alloy axles need Rubicon TJ rotors to line up (I don't have these).
- Brakes are probably due to be replaced.
- I installed an old ARB compressor I had under the hood but never hooked it up. I think it will need to be serviced and it needs wiring. The front ARB has never been hooked up.
My Jeep has seen dirt one time at Cleghorn 2 years ago. I am bummed to sell without ever getting it "wrapped up" and working perfect, but I want to focus on finishing my Jeepspeed and really don't have the energy or drive to spend anymore time on this car. I don't want to part it out but if it doesn't sell in the next couple months, I will go that direction.
