Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

New update. Used my new welder for the first time today. Progress is coming along nicely I think. Installing a bigger air tank and building a frame to hold the fuel cell.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

thanks man. Yeah. I'm alive.
I've been busy with the shop.
I'm trying to get the wife everything she needs to start tattooing full time.
soon she should be in the shop full time!

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

Are you making it a dually? I would thing some factory bed sides would be easy enough to find.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

These are not anywhere near as big as dually fenders.... Right now its about a 4 1/2 flare.
I got 2" spacers for all the wheels for now.
But in the near future it will get new wheels.
22"x14" in the rear. 22"x12" in the front.

As of right now. It does have a newer dodge dually fender look to it though. I still have a lot of work to do....

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

Progress pic. New front fenders. New cowl hood. Foam removed from the back. I am going a different route with the rear fenders. Those pics will be up as soon as I get time to work on them.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

thanks. I'm pretty happy so far. I still have to do some customizing to the fenders. I just installed hood pins. I'll post a pic in a few.

22's!!! Wow big pimpin, you raising your rates on ink or something?

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

I'm kinda diggin' those.

LOL....... you're gonna have to always remember to center the front tires before dropping the bags...... can't imagine you'll be able to steer/drive that dropped.....?

To be honest. I was worried about fitment at first when I bought them. But they fit and look amazing in person.

I dont really drive low unless its for a short time.
I have ride height which is about 8" off the ground. And about 10" clearance lifted all the way.
I'll drop the back lower... But the front stays pretty stationary unless I'm playing around with buttons. Lol.
turning will be minimal at full drop or when the wheel is tucked in the fender. Its not any different than the way I drove with the other wheels. Just gotta be alert and pay attention to sharp turns. Lol.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress
