Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

What's the breakover angle? -10 degrees? :) You're going to need some heavy duty skids for the mid-section just for bumps in the road.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

You are speaking gibberish to me. Lol
Mind explaining? Everything I've installed is stock bolt on. With minor cutting.
It rides really smooth and only bottoms out on BIG bumps.
Being a 2500 light duty it should have a pretty strong frame.
I don't know what exactly you are talking about though. Lol.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to figure it out as I go.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

Breakover angle basically means how high a hump can be between the front and rear axles. If you exceed the breakover angle, you end up high centered. I'm just saying with that long of a wheelbase, and a relatively low suspension, normal variations in height on the average dirt road could be problematical. No big deal, just an observation.

Ok. Gotcha!
I just static dropped it until I can afford air bags.
Then I don't have to worry about clearance and I will get to play with buttons. :party1:

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

not my bag, but its a clean looking lowrider... like the flat black with the blingy-gigantor-wheels :D

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

Got to see it in person at his shop today. Like the wheels much better in person. They seem to "fit" better when you see em up close.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

Update on the truck.
Front end has settled in nicely.
But. I want to bag it as soon as possible. Haha

Here are a couple new pics.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

Update on the chevy.
It's getting bagged in the next couple weeks.
It will be laying frame. And still capable of towing 10,000 lbs
Granted. I will be getting the 350 built to a 383 stroker.

Anyway. Not many of you are into this so I will just get to posting pics.

Mini version of the big truck.

Re: My 88 chevy- project in progress

I'm going to do the c notch on Thursday.
I might cut out the bed and such tomorrow.

Still waiting for bag parts. I have a lot coming. Everything but the valves should be here by Friday. Hopefully. If not Monday or Tuesday.
