Up for sale is my '87 Savage bobber project. I picked this bike up for a starter bike and it's been great, light and nimble but with enough power to be fun. Unfortunately my commute just got quite a bit longer, so I need something a little more highway-friendly. The bike has ~17,300 miles and runs well, starts right up everytime. I recently put a new OEM fuel petcock in, as well as a pod-style filter and the correct main jet for the new filter. The bike will come with the rest of the jet kit to tune it if you add exhaust or other mods, as well as another float bowl gasket. The bike also has new tires and brakes this season with <1000 miles on them. The rear fender has been shortened, and the lights and plate have been moved to give it an old school 'bobber' look. All lights, signals, horn and speedometer work 100%. It would make a great starter bike, or commuter bike, especially in the city.

I'm open to trades for a bigger bike, preferably a Yamaha XS850, XS11, but will consider others.

How tall are you/how much do you weigh? It's a fun little bike around town, but it tops out around 70MPH, which sucks for my commute up 95. You can come ride it if you want, there's some fun backroads around here to get a feel for it.

Im a big guy, 6'2" 235ish. I wouldnt mind having something to use around town
