i figured getting my oil pan an inch further from my axle would be a good thing seeing that they have smashed together in the past, and help level my driveline with my 1" raised t-case crossmember.
In a 'street' 2WD which is lowered, the oil pan will hit the axle tube when lowered way down. 1" lift motor mounts would give 1" more lowering before hitting. Instead of 'sectioning' the axle tube and notch/lower the center tube section.
