02 F150 5.4L coolant flush

Dad has an 02 King Ranch and the coolant looks nasty brown. I'm thinking i should drain the rad and block and install fresh coolant.

I found the petcock on pass side above framerail, but it's plastic and i dont want to risk damage. I think i'll just pull the lower hose.

Where is the block plug? If it's easily accesible i'll do the block as well.

This has closed loop setup with no cap, how much of a PITA is it to burp this truck?

You should buy the PH flush from the dealer. We are having major issues with electrolysis and the new chemical they just came out with seems to help.

Were dropping the truck off tomorrow to have done, too busy with other things at the moment. Pulling a 28' trailer from SC to Pa, then the truck will get traded for a diesel shortly after.
