I've got an 86 with close to 180k on it, and I've been very happy with it. It gets driven daily, and does fine on the highway and off road, but I don't drive very fast. And I can still get 25 mpg out of it, even with 32's and a spare on top.

Paul may have a job interview that weekend, and my xj has supposedly been sold so I can buy a new one. I'll still try to come and bring the CJ, but I won't know for sure for a few more days.
