    Inner Tire Wear Help PICs

What about new ball joints and a new steering knuckle on the driver side? Anyone think that will fix the camber issue? Also, notice the lean of the tire in the picture. Looks like a pretty good lean in to me. I'm planning on taking it in to the shop on Monday to get an allignment and some...

    Inner Tire Wear Help PICs

Background: 4.5" RE Super-Flex kit 33" BFGs Currie Ent CurrectLync sys About a year ago I installed a CurrectLync sys; new ball joints (upper & lower), wheel bearing unit, and steering knuckle on the passenger side. Since then I have experienced two problems. Problem #1: My steering...

    Im Getting Bumpsteer Now.

On a related note, I installed a Currie Currectlync in place of my stock steering components. I am running an RE 4.5 Superflex kit. When I installed the currie components I also replaced the passenger-side steering knuckle and upper and lower ball joints on the same side. It seems now I have...

    Wobble vs. Wandering

What is the difference between high and low caster angle? I did look up caster to find out what that is. Caster is affected by the control arms Im assuming. How do you know what the correct draglink/trackbar angles are? I am running a Currie Enterprise CE-9701 tie-rod draglink and the RE...

    Wobble vs. Wandering

Im heading away for a few weeks, till then the Jeep will sit. So it's not a deathwobble that I have. Thank you all for clearing that up. It's a wandering issue. Im using an RE trackbar. As for caster, I'll have to measure when I return. How do you know what length to set?

    Wobble vs. Wandering

Is there a difference between a Death Wobble and wandering around the traffic lane? (wandering being like not having good steering control, as if blown by the wind) I've posted some stuff before about this issue, but I'm confused about what, if any, differences there are. On a side note...

    Problems after ball joint install

Ok, took it to a shop one of the on-base mechanics recommended. I had to get it fixed, didnt have the time to gawk at it myself, and was at a loss to what it could be. The ball joint was not fully seated. Even though I bottomed out the ball joint press when I did the install. He also...

    Problems after ball joint install

I made it...barely...very wobbly from NM to DC.........very wobbly. Wore the inside of my front right tire down significantly. Got a nice "pop" during hard right turns. Also think I blew an axle diff seal due to fluid weeping from the right axle tube... Check engine light came on yesterday...

    Problems after ball joint install

Yes, I greased. Hub assembly is a new Timken. Tie-rod and the rest of the steering components are good. Did not torque anything except for Hub Nut. I've had bad experiences with torqueing. But I will in this case and see if it makes it relax a bit with the steerage. And how can a ball...

    Problems after ball joint install

Nah, U joint did not break, just worn enough to start making the metallic sound and stop it's fluid movement. So you're thinking maybe a new steering knuckle?

    Problems after ball joint install

I had a "clinking" coming from the front passenger side while in motion. Replaced the axle front axle U-Joint, clink is gone. Also decided to replace the upper and lower ball joints on that side since I had everything torn apart. Now I've got problems. The Jeep likes to do what it wants...

Help me pick a steering upgrade. I have a dead spot.

I installed the Currie setup on Saturday. Went on easy, Jeep handles smooth now. Had some scary steering after hitting holes and bumps before. Worth the money.

    Fuel/Water Can Holder

Here are some pictures of the Front Runner Jerry Can Holder. It has alot of holes for different installation configurations. It will not hold two Scepter cans. It will hold two NATO Jerry Cans. Here it is installed on the Kargo Master Rack, I had to drill some holes into the skids. Here it...

    Fuel/Water Can Holder

Just got the double holder. You can mount it pretty much any way you want to, numerous holes in the base. It fits the NATO jerry cans perfectly. Kinda tight with the Scepter water cans. The first time I had to sit on the top to get it to lock. Overall, I would say a good buy for $100. Ill...
