I got 4 1/2 inches out of my s10 leaf's. If you only want 2 1/2 inches don't use the full s10 pack.

If you are planning to rent a U-Haul trailer I would call them first. They will ask you what vehicle you are pulling with and what vehicle will be on the trailer. They may not rent you a trailer..?

I just pulled a set of Ford springs out from under my Jeep. With the Ford springs and 2" spacers I got close to 4.5" lift. If I remember correct, they were in a truck with a small block V8. I think about anything in the 70 & 80 will work. The ride wasn't as bad as everyone says.

I got a set of 4.5" coil springs..... I had to drive to Rusty's and pick them up though ......hehehe works for me :cheers:

85 Cherokee The doors look to be the same as my 95, I don't know if anything has changed on the newer models. All the windows roll up and down. Driver's window does stick some at the bottom but does roll up. Passanger mirror is gone. Doors sold in pair's $35 per side. Driver side Fender $20...

I only got 2.5 inches out of my Ford truck springs (then added 2" spacers). Rusty's has 4.5" coil springs on sale for $100, my new set is under the tree :)

I've always heard worn cam bearings is what makes the oil pressure drop in the 4.0's. A friend of mine changed his rod and main bearings and it didn't help his oil pressure. Later he put in a high volume oil pump and that helped.

I've been thinking of upgrading my old rig looking at 99-ish model xj's. I wasn't aware of this head issue... I can see changing the head to cure the coolant problem but this isn't going to solve the low oil pressure problem.... is it??

A friend of mine used a transmission and transfer case out of an old 88 in his 2wd 96 model. He even swapped some parts out and made the speedometer work. You can pick up the older combo's cheaper if you catch someone parting one out.

I drove my xj to Moab in 2008, rolling on 33's. Took a few friends with me to help with gas. If 3 to 4 people go then it's lots cheaper. We ran Hells Revenge, Steel Bender and Cliff hanger, all rated at 6 (trails rated 1-10) and didn't break anything. The old xj took us there and brought us...
