Tell me why this ISN'T a '96 XJ....

My 94 has the same steering column, it looks like the old Chevy one but has the Chrysler ignition. My buddies 95 has the newer Chrysler column with the big square box at the top. Mine also had the same gauges as that one but, I swapped them out for the cluster with the tach. Jeeps are odd, seems...

    Dog farts

I can't see why bagging it wouldn't work, lol. My buddy farted in a paper cup once and cupped the top with his hand. Then he made his sister smell it and she got sick. :D :roflmao:

    Fourwheeler mag

Anybody read the Cherokee ''weak links, strong fixes'' article in this months issue? It mentions NAXJA in there and just thought it was pretty cool.

    BFG M/T vs. Goodyear MT/R

I have a set of 32x11.5x15 MT/Rs and love em. They have awesome traction and have hardly had to use 4x4 all winter. The extra siping and grooves in the MT/Rs are awesome. I found them good in the mud as well but awesome on the rocks. They are wearing very well for me too, no complaints here from...

    89 xj No start

Check the ballast resistor on the driver side fender. It's the first place I look when I have problems with my 89.

    oddly optioned xj's

I'm driving an 89 Wagoneer Limited. It has all the power goodies but no overhead console. It has leather power seats, all carpet and remote keyless entry, which I found weird for an 89. I found a parts Jeep here for mine when I was fixing it up. It was an 87 four cylinder with absolutely no...

    Dana 35 axle shafts

Also, some, if not all, of the D35's up until 90 or 91 have a roller bearing pressed on the the shaft out by the backing plate. It's a real pain to change in the trail unless it's been apart before. So check and see if you have this axle with the bearings cause the newer shafts won't work.

89 wont start when hot/shuts off when driving

Sounds like you're driving my Jeep, LOL. Mine was doing the same thing. The power wire to the ballast resistor was grounding out. The wire runs from a block in the corner of the firewall on the drivers side, it was grounding out there. Check that. Chris

    Gearing

I'm putting 35's on my Jeep soon and am planning on putting in an 8.8. I have a D30 already equipped with 4.56 gears. A buddy of mine has a set of 4.88 gears for the 8.8 that he would sell cheap. I do quite a bit of offroading but the Jeep is still my daily driver for a while yet. Which would be...
