I am finding different info all over the web, I need to know if I should buy a bias ply or radial. I have always been under the impression the bias is the way to go with trailer tires.

Suggestions?

the only trailer tires i have had experience with has been bias. i stopped to help an old guy on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere in Nevada one blistering hot afternoon. he was pulling a trailer with 4 quads on it and had his grandkids with him.

turns out he had a blow out and the tread wrapped arround the axle of the trailer. he wasnt able to get the pieces of the tire unwrapped off the axle. so all i had to do was grab my knife from my truck and cut the tread off of the axle instead of messing with untaingling it. i can imagine how much harder it would have been if i had to deal with steel belts.

GoodYear Marathons is all I've ever run on my bass boat trailer, never had any troubles and I tow it about 2k a year, but the boat/trailer only weighs 3100#.
