Looking for advice on: CAGE w/ REAR SHOCKS THRU FLOOR

what shock length is optimum? (is there a limit for jeepspeed?)
when the front down tubes go thru the dash - does that impede the a/c vents?
how does the area between the roof, n top of the cage get welded (with no room)?

1-Jeepspeed limits front and rear travel, (10" front, 12" rear, IIRC, VIF), but this can be acheived with limit straps and bumpstops, sometimes longer shocks are used to accomodate mounts or increase fluid capacity, then straped and bumped at the mandated travel.
2-All cages are differant, and yours will be how you design it. Any real jeepspeed will most likely not have a stock dash anyways.
3-Typically when building cages in a closed cab vehicle, you'll leave the bottom of the cage tacked in place, get all the tubes in place, then you cut your tacks, put a jack underneath the cage, and lower the cage as much as possible (roughlly 6-12", depending on cage design), you then weld the tops, clean, paint, then jack it back into place and weld to the floor.

You can kinda see here:

If you are building a legitimate, gonna-be-teched, jeepspeed JEEPSPEED, buy a copy of the rule book, and read it. There are a lot of things that can keep your chassis from being teched.

thank you for the help.

ive made the decision to do it; so i just want to attack it where im building something that will pass tech inspection... LOL

no...who, n where....
