no further plans for the heep as wedding plans have taken over my life. On top of buying a house and moonlighting fiving cars i gots no time for the jeep. but i wont sell it. after the duster is running and im moved into my new home Ill start work on it...
Well, I really done myself in good this time. I got engaged and bought a house within 30 mins of each other. And no, shes not pregnant (that i know of)
so further progress on the comanche will be postponed. All my efforts now are going towards my house, wedding, and getting the 440...
ok, i swapped the tps and it made a difference. tore the throttle body apart and added new gaskets, fuel regulator diaphram etc. went ahead and slapped a new map sensor on while i was at it.
now the jeep fires up, still doesnt want to run but will if you work the throttle.
if you happen...
have been making ZERO progress on the truck. been working on it here and there trying to get it to stay running. replaced a bunch of crap and got it to where itll try to stay running while working the throttle like a kickdrum.
someday, it might run and drive enough to be a trail rig...
Went to mopar nationals last weekend, had a drunken good time. Got a not so noew rear bumper for the duster that is wayyy better shape than the one thats on it. also got the carb plates needed to make my offenhauser dual quad setup work. pretty darn good time.
finally tinkered with the mj tonight. had a spare map sensor so i swapped it on. didnt make a difference. so i took the throttle body off and checked the diaphram on the fuel pressure regulator. it looked fine, no splits, no dirt, nothing. im thinking that there is something not reading...
what id really like to do is swap a 225 slant six in.
after the apocalypse and the second coming of christ after all humanity has been obliterated....
the 225 slant six will still be here, and itll still be hummin along
egr valve is stuck. unhooked it and it didnt make a difference. removed the 4-hole vacuum block behind the throttle body and replaced it with 4 seperate vacuum lines. truck will start and run now but still no idle. comepletely removefd idle soleniod so it wouldnt rev to the moon. it wont...
the gas had already been drained out. along with all the other fluids and the battery stolen and the cats cut off. it has 7 gal of fresh gas in it. i was suppose to work on it tonight but other peoples junk cars get in the way.
ive been thinking of checking the egr. of it is stuck...
