Does anyone know what this Renix fault is? I had my 89 XJ waggy hooked up to an electronic diagnostic tester,and it indicated "Fault B1040 Latched B+ Line Low" It's a 1989 Wagoneer 4.0 with an auto. Any help would be appreciated-

I have a '99 XJ with a trac loc rear diff.(8.25) I pulled the cover off to replace the gasket and noticed there was no "S" spring like I have seen in some pics. What does the spring do, and does it damage anything not having it? Thanks!
