    Welding

    Upon visual inspection of welds you want the metal to show a good heat trace,:firedevil around the weld and on the back side of the material being welded to. If you want to go further do a tear out test with some scrap pieces of whatever your welding. Weld them together,,,tear them apart.

    If your jeep is an xj it comes factory with a 2 piece front driveshaft.

    To pay or not to pay; install on a drop pitman arm

    Try tightening the nut first with an impact. On the last two I replaced I first tightened the nut to break loose the rust and hit it with a hammer like twice. Could be luck.

    Quick 8.8 Question

    go to http://www.partsamerica.com/Brakes.aspx. I got an 8.8 with no brakes at all. Calipers $30 each and rotors $40 each. Go to the junk yard and get some random calipers for cores, they never match size and style so they dont care and you dont pay the core.
