    Who has broken the welded nut removing a shackle?

    It probably still turns hard because the bolt gets seized to the metal sleeve inside the bushing. So you may have to turn the nut off then cut the bolt on both sides of the shackle to get it out.:shocked:

    If you guys want to do this swap, get get a case out of an early 90s S10 blazer with the 4.3 liter V6. I picked one up on craigs list for $50 and they have the wide chain and the 6 gear planetary. Its the NP231C model.

    My XJ arm is on the jeep now so its kinda hard to measure but the "TJ" one measures 1" from inside one master spline to the inside of the one across from it. The difference between the two was minimal but the new arm wouldnt even start on the splines of the steering box. I had considered...

    Re: WJ Knuckle Swap... The CORRECT way! Ok everybody, go back to the first pic. Yes the flange surface of the two units on the right are the same, BUT! Look at the difference from the table to the surface where they mount to the C's... that difference is the reason for the JKS spacer.

    do you have any pics of this replacement or of what you replaced? I have a pretty serious cancer problem above my muffler which is actually under the rear seat. would these pans replace this area?

    Front axle opinions.

    If you you want to keep even more money in your pocket, keep the 30, truss it, and look up the Iron Rock offroad "almost alloy kit". I've never seen these kits in action but i think their a great idea...and really cheep. If my alloy shafts break, and they do break, this is what I will be doing...

    Will my new truck work for a tow rig?

    get that jeep up their. My 9 1/2ft. camper weighs 4000lbs and site higher than that jeep ever would and i haul it on a 3/4ton... with my jeep on a trailer behind it. just keep the tranny temp cool...don't tow with the overdrive on.
