Colorado B/S Thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

I do most of my exploring by motorcycle, that Tag game I participate in has taken me to a lot of neat little places I would never have thought of to go. Most of those guys ride dual sport and adventure bikes though, so sometimes it gets a bit hairy on the big bagger. Like the sandy 2 track complete with rocks and water crossings (no pics of those as I was by myself) to get to the center of Colorado. It's near the town of Hartsel.

I did Cave of the Winds ages ago, but recall thinking it was pretty neat.

I love that place! We took a sweet field trip there in high school and got to see a lot of stuff there that most people won't get too. I think they just started offering that tour now but it's expensive to go. Actually planning on taking the little guy there in a few weeks.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Came out of the house this morning and found someone had gotten into my Jeep. Took a bunch of stuff out of the center console and glove box and about destroyed my CB attempting to rip it off the ceiling where I mounted it. Screwball thing? Never touched my Yeti carbon mountain bike in the back.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Who knows. Some a hole broke into mine and stole my archaic iPod, leaving my tools and a bunch of other stuff. The window was probably worth more at $35. I chased them down later and the cops got em and I got my iPod back. Not many stand up people hiding under trees at 3am...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

That's why I live in the country. All I have to worry about is meth heads and all they want is the copper wiring out of my house.

It must have been too complicated.

Actually, I think it was one of the quirks of my XJ :) - half of the harness going into the hatch is broken so you can't unlock the hatch with the power locks, you have to use the key. And the bike is big enough you can't take it out any of the doors.

Adopted a brother for my XJ.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Took the Jeep out on the back roads top speed in low range overdrive is about 30-ish , which is faster than it will probably ever see on trail . Since it was easy to drive I took it into county road 47/43 in hi range briefly hit 60 ...the road is only 45 so was very brief . Anyway the full hydro is a 1 hand deal even at speed no wander easily controlled it is safer than hydro assist since you can steer full lock fast and turn back full lock fast unlike the death lag with assist ...lol...this allows me drift the dirt roads hard unlike the assist . The prothane coil inserts in all 4 coils soak up quite a bit of the road given my limited shock up travel with about 5-10 psi in the tires the forest service roads feel invisible ...lol...leaves me wanting a v-8 and a 4 t speed case...lol

Re: The Colorado BS thread

wow. that is a big picture.... next for Troy from the same place? I could waste a lot of time looking at the atrocities on that page...

Re: The Colorado BS thread

The red one needs a set of tubs and a narrowed rear end.

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Is it a requirement that they have hoses coming out of the grill?

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Seat belt question the clip the goes into the seat side do other models such as the ZJ TJ share the same clip. I ask because I need a quick seat belt install to go wheeling and do not have time to gut the stock seats and install new seats and safety harness , so am looking for a full stocker assembly preferably already pulled and CL has zj and tj no xj ...I can head to the PnP to get some but sometimes they come out in a minute others take forever to remove .

Seriously, no idea what is going on there. 10 ft tail pipes, launch ramp bumpers and the rest I cant even describe!

Re: The Colorado BS thread

Will be pulling the 38tsl off the set of MRW bead locks I got from John's shop ( the flop shop) ...lol...in 2015 they all have really good tread a couple have plugs but hold air these are old but not falling apart they would be great tires for a dedicated trail rig ...I do not do Craig's list and these are FREE if they don't find a home they will go to the tire shop for disposal .

Re: The Colorado BS thread

15" or 17" rim? If so bring them to bv if you have room on the trailer. If they don't work for me I can dispose of them.
