Has anyone changed the harmonic balancer on a zj? I can't get a puller to work due to space. The chicken foot bolts on but I can't fit the bolt in that forces the pulley off. It's too long.....that's what she said.

Any advice? I guess I'll take it back to AZ and see if they have the main bolt in a shorter length.

Well I'm glad this got moved over here. Now it'll get answered sometime in the next week.

Well, after a coupla lone stars, i'm thinking about this trhead. I'm going to carry on a conversation with myself and see how long before someone else responds. So, self, I'll talk to you tomorrow.:viking:

Dude self,
I had a great time tonight. I had a couple of margarita's and some lone stars at a party. There were fajitas too. Great time. Gotta go replace that harmonic balancer tomorrow though. Glad I got an answer on this awesome "other tech" chapter.

Yous a funny muhph_Will--hands down the funniest dude on Naxja. I'll try to think of a solution. . .
So you've obviously removed the bolt--any way you and a friend can use two pry bars at the same time while the front end is up in the air(just make sure theres a piece of plywood or barrier to prevent knocking into the radiator when it decides to go)? Good try, huh?(that's what she said)

I'm about to go back to her house now. Before I go, I'm just going to take the big bolt that goes through the middle of the chicken foot and cut it down shorter. I'll bet that fukker's hardened steel though...

So I got it off after cutting down the bolt. Now how the hell do you get the new harmonic balancer on? :bawl:

So I just wanted to let you guys know I got it. Thanks...I guess.
