ZJ stock alarm issues

I know, I know, this is an XJ forum but, I own and wheel multiple jeeps including an XJ and a ZJ. I just got a '98 ZJ 5.9. It has all options of it's time. Last night while I was sitting at a traffic light, the headlights and dashboard lights all started to flash as if the alarm was going off. They cycled about 8 times and then stopped. When I pulled into my driveway, It happened again. Anyone have any ideas? Loose wires maybe? Is there a way to just bypass the alarm and have the Jeep still run otherwise? I don't need the alarm and I do not have a key phobe to operate it. The only control I have over the alarm is with the key in the door lock. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Go post on NAGCA if no one here can figure it out.

I also have a 98 5.9, buy mine has a KARR Alarm system which I don't think was factory.
