ZJ rock rails on an XJ???

a buddy of mine is selling his ZJ and i might buy his rock rails off of it before it sells. does anybody know if they will fit on a 97 xj?

I just got a hell of a deal on a bunch of stuff off a Grand Cherokee, including a set of rock rails. When holding them up to my XJ it looks like everything would mount up correctly, except for the fact that the rails themselves are too long. I will have to lop the excess ends off the rails before I mount them.
