ZJ Question I bet no one knows the answer to

Ok, so I have a 1996 ZJ without steering wheel stereo controls. If I pull a wheel of a junkyard ZJ with the controls, will it button right up and work? In other words, did Jeep wire the stereo to the steering wheel universally?

Turns out the answer is NO. They are not compatible.

You would probably have to grab the clockspring also, and possibly the radio.
