You know you own/drive a XJ when...

You know you own an XJ when you finally get around to fixing a valve cover leak on a 4.0 and it just feels strange knowing that it's no longer seeping.

You work at a car parts store and you know by the sound of the engine when a Jeep pulls up.

That was me today at work. I heard someone pulled up and I said "Sounds like a cherokee" and low and behold it was

...when you work as a parts guy and you laugh when somebody asks for sway bar links because you don't think you need them

...when one of your mechanic friends rides along with you and is pointing out problems and you say "what that's not supposed to be like that?"

... when you wife says it makes to much noise while driving and you say "if you keep it under 70 its manageable"

...when you work for ford and everybody there tells you you should have bought a ford and you say "it'll have ford axles sooner or later and possibly a 5.0"

...when you park next to another lifted XJ at the grocery store

...when somebody asks if that's a 4" lift and you say "no its a 3 but the fenders are trimmed"

... when you get called twice and texted once with xj/mj tech questions while preparing dinner :roflmao:

... when you wife says it makes to much noise while driving and you say "if you keep it under 70 its manageable"

when you don't mind how loud it is because it keeps the complaining about the jeep to a minimum when you drag her along on camping trips.

:D

...when your at the grocery store and they page over the intercom "there is a green GRAND cherokee in the parking lot with the drivers door wide open" and you know right away that its your green cherokee with NO doors....true story

when your girlfriend complains you spend more time on naxja than you do on her......

your girlfriend/wife complains your under the jeep more than under her

... when you get called twice and texted once with xj/mj tech questions while preparing dinner :roflmao:

and junkyard swap questions. though with the rise in smart phones it happens less and less.

whats a trunk?

Don't know if its on here.(I'm sure it is) when driving to work requires laying on your back in a hardware parking lot. Witch is fine because the time is already figured in.

I pretty much suck.

you have just gotten into the jeep scene less than 2 mos ago and you already own 2 XJS and a pile of parts.

you spent 5 hrs over 2 days reading 61 pages laughing and agreeing with all you see.

You dream XJ mods

NAXJA is set as your homepage

when u procrastinate buying a membership to said forum because the money can go towards the "quirks" Bessy has acquired since u purchased her.

Roof rack... I woke up disappointed this morning haha

...When you hope you get your parts out of the dishwasher before your wife gets home. (crossing my fingers).

I usually use the bathtub instead... turn the shower on, get the degreaser out, and let er rip!

doesn't work very well with fiberglass tubs/surrounds and/or unsealed grout :gag:, but works great with all ceramic and sealed grout :shhh:

you call 4wheeelpparts daily wondering if your tires/parts have arived yet. 2 weeks and counting

...when you get home from a day on the trail, and you know your XJ will get you to work the next day.

Sounds like a personal problem :jester:

You know you drive a jeep when you never worry about it getting stolen...even though you would take it over every other car in the lot.
Thats a Lie in AZ Jeeps are stolen all the time because the Mexicans like them for there off road capabilities, and there vast numbers. And a cop told me this because mine was broken into but the culprit would get to far off road with a 2wd stocker ;)
