Rev: "As there are at least 2 chapter websites, which one are you refering to here? Further, as you have brought it up, what exactlly is your position on the managment and format of chapter websites?"
Nope, didn't over look your question, I just have plans to get my rig ready for Colorado Fest and am trying to multi task here.....
This is how I understand the existance of the two chapter websites. One was developed prior to their chapter being added to

, the other was created to suit the needs of that chapter to have "looser rules".
Both were created in direct relation to a need. But the motivation behind each one is different. One wanted a collective place to meet, discuss issues, and events relating to their geographic area since there wasn't a forum for that at

. Again, I could be wrong, but that's my impression about that website. The other, already had a chapter forum at

, but many weren't happy with the moderation and rules imposed by the BOD on chapter forums.
Either way, the existance of both are great! They serve their purpose. I do, however, think that

has the right to take issue with a satellite site's conduct, and other situations where

is directly associated. Bylaws have a provision for this and I would encourage any action that protects the image and mission of

.
I just feel that it doesn't speak highly of

members when they can't abide by the rules that they agreed to when they paid up. Especially if they stick around when they're so dissatisfied with being here. If it doesn't suit them, then they shouldn't create waves here. And they also shouldn't demand that rules change to suit them. The rules were here before they signed up, no reason to change them. Same goes for satellite sites. If

's name is associated, then the same rules should apply for consistency and image. If the rules are different for a satellite site, then why keep the association? Obviously it's different than

.
