XJ's with Safari Racks

For you guys who have lights up there.... don't they reflect off the hood and glare the windshield? I think they look great up there, but how do they work?
mine is a dark color so it's not bad and the lights are back enough that the roof blocks the light off the windshield.

Mine was homemade, with Yakima Gutter clamp feet. It was 44 x 44.

Wife caught it on a tree, about 2 months after I got it up there, and tore one of the feet apart.

Not to mention, damn is the spare heavy to get up there.

I have since moved the hi-lift to the rear. Mine is a Surco. I forget which size, but I think about 50x60. I like it as far as racks go.

My lights don't reflect down/back at me at all, they are mounted to a factory rail as far forward as they can and still click in.

I wish I would have bought a rear bumper/tire mount instead, it seems I am always worrying about what I am going to hit or catch with the roof rack and lights, It is proably the coolest looking mod I have made, and great for camping, but not so hot for trail runs.

Sorry for the late reply.
The headlight guards are made by Desert Ox. I´ve found them on Ebay here in Germany.
