XJ track bar fit ZJ?

so my zj has a 3" lift, and the stock trac bar is still being used with an axle side drop-bracket.. this setup is not working for me, it has begun to make loud pop/clunk noises.. and as of this week, the axle is shifting quite often.. I can be driving straight down the road, steering wheel is straight and everthing is fine, but if i hit a bump the axle will shift and my steering wheel jerks out of my hand, and then im left driving with my steering wheel turned 45-90* and shortly i hit another bump shifting it back to straight..

This sounds like a trac bar right?



Alright, with that said, my Rough country Trac bar (tre style) is in great shape, i just put a brand new Moog joint on the end, and im thinking it should work for my ZJ for a few months, because i just picked up the New Rough country trac bar and bracket for my XJ.

the Rough country trac bar for the XJ is meant for 4"-6" of lift.. the zj has 3"....will it work? I'll find out on my own but it would be nice to know before hand.:shhh:

The stock mounts are identical between them I believe. I can't comment on your exact situation, but I had a huge double-shear track bar on my XJ and it had 6" of lift, and when I did my 4" lift on my ZJ I use the TB and bracket from the XJ with no problems.

I think it will work, even if the length/tracking is a little off, having a TRE in good shape will at least fix most of your problems.
