xj on a real frame

well i'm working on doing a xj buggy on some sort of short wheelbase frame.
my buddy has a cj10 and i don't know if it will work or not but i'm just looking for some feedback if anyone has done an xj on a frame and what you used.

The problem with searching now a days is you get a bunch of posts with people saying exactly that. Search.

Try a search for sleaving. I've read some posts here about it. Sleaving suppose to be alot easier then cutting away the old "frame" and finding another one that fits. You should find plenty of posts on sleaving the frame rails, or something similar.

Let me know what you decide and how it turns out.
 
think about what adds weight and then don't do it. nothing like need the extra 100# + for a framed frame to keep your jeep from going over rocks.
weight kills. sleave the critical areas and walk away.
