XJ metal fender flairs, anyone?

will these fit on post 96 models as well ? curious as to how they connect with the rear on the pinch seam etc ...

I think they should work. If not... that is what hammers and drills are for, but I dont see why it would not work. They look nice, im thinking about making my own though because I dont like it when the finder is just flat like that, I like a little angle on it so that stuff roles off. I like the way an xj looks with trimmed stock finders but I hate putting them back on when I knock them off. Sorry for the small rant about my finders.

I saw a xj in moab this year that had somthing like this, but they were more like smash corner style you would find from poisoin spider cusoms for a tj they bolted to the fender then had a flair bilt right off the side of it looked really good but it also looked like alot of work. and alot of extra weight.

Have you made any for 2 door XJs yet??

Here is another idea from the fenders I built a little over a month ago. It defenitely took some time but were a fun build. Instead of the flat stock stopping at the body it underlapes a few inches front and rear to clean up the underside of the wheel wells. By doing so it also prevents the mud and water getting up into the doors.

Like shoes are going to stop them losing toes. If anything, steel toed work boots would help.

Please, for the love of all things proper....put some shoes on If those things fall off the jack stands, you could be minus some toes.

wasn't me. I am the one taking the picture, that's my friend.

Those look really nice. Kudos.

It's funny how we all come up with the same ideas ( or versions of ) for the same problems. I had been thinking that if a guy could run sheet metal from his inner fender to his outer ( like the way the factory had the crappy plastic mud guard/ shield thingy ) that it would support the fender better and then just build your flairs out of the same metal...I'm thinking like 16ga. or 14ga. A couple of bends, tie it back into the fender and your done. The only reason I never thought about tubing is that I was thinking I could keep it lighter and tighter if I just bent sheet the way I wanted. I dunno, I'm talking outta my butt because i havent built them yet. I let ya know if it works. LOL
