right click on the image and go to proporties. this is the image location, so start with that.

I did that, right after i posted. I guess i got a little excited. anyway i traced them to a place called Searcher's 4wd supply and outfitters in Tennesee. I have sent them an email about the fenders, asking them if they are for sale to be shipped out or if not, could they provide more information on the construction, or at least some more pics. I know we can get a Good idea of how there made by the pics but im curious as to any extra bracing that you can't see. i will let you all know what i find out.

Actually, it is from a place in Louisiana. How do I know, the guy that built them lives a hour from me. I will let him know what you would like to know. Just wanted to make sure the state was corrected.

oops good call on that i don't know where i got Tennessee from.

I did get a replay back they said they are working on them for production but right now it takes a long time to produce a set. I imagine that they have to shape the metal by hand.

Theres way too much labor involved to produce a hi-quality steel flare at a
cost people wont complain about for XJs....
Also, without some type of 'full wrap' & welded in...you'll never keep them on
your rig....(my 2 cents atleast)

So...here yea go, fab away.....I wont be pursuing beyond this one, only on
a custom, rig in my shop, basis..

I know, bringing up an old thread, but I would like to know what size tubing Detour used and what radius bend they have. Anybody know? Jeff

Mmmmm......kind of a sore subject.....I have very very little time to work on
my own junk, logging on to forums has become almost non-existant, the
shops been really busy & when not busy....developing/exploring new parts.

On a good note though, full cage is almost complete, Dana 300 is almost
installed to accept narrowed 44's & Q's......grabbed 4 new doors to replace
the ones stuffed with 2x4's......literally cuzz 2 are caved in......lots of work
ahead, been checking on ebay to see if anyone is selling spare time, no luck.

I hope to have it on the trails again in a few months........with rear steel
flares as well. ;-)

A friend/fellow cherokee just stopped by to chat and he got me all fired up to come up with an original (ya you guessed it) tube style fender flare. He is going to install the sheet metal and i am going to use larger tubing (1 or 1 1/2) tubing with no sheet metal. I hopped on here to see if anyone had taken on a project like this and look what i found. YOU guys are all ready fired up!!!!! Keep us posted we are behind we both have whipped up some front bumpers yet we are lacking the rock sliders and rear bumpers to work onto just yet. But we will!!!!!!!!

The pictures that XJADDICTION posted are almost exactly what i am after! The only difference is that i am going to round down to my bumper in the front.
DETOURS your fabrication is outstanding!!
The others idea of attaching removable flares to the tubing. You bet! They would be mounted to a solid surface which goes against the comment i agree with that you will be picking up alot of thoughts off the trail. Also you will not bend them because they are removable hence the whole idea of taking them off prior to wheeling. This thread has turned out great and this is the most energy i have found in a while.
I previously mentioned that i am wanting to do the tube simply running along the cut fenders and since posting that i have busted out the die grinder!! If you get bored i posted some pics of it on a thread i started

Here are few of mine still in progress. I still need to finish weld them, grind them smooth, and shoot some paint. I also need to finish trimming the fenders.

Why not cover your tyres completely?
Looking good otherwise.

Cause flares already look bad, and the bigger the worse.
