Thought I'd let y'all know about a Cherokee I saw for sale. It's an 87 Pioneer, 4 dr, 4WD, auto, 4.0. The sign in the window says it's got 80k on new engine and I'm 95% sure it's got a 44 in the rear. Interior (tan) and body look to be in great shape. He's asking like $1,500. I have the phone number and some more pics in my camera phone if anybody wants them.
Good eye Billy. I'm checking out the xj for sale in San Rafael today with my brother-in-law, Nate. Nate is looking for a built xj for cheap. If the 1 in SR doesn't look good, we'd like to take a look at this 1. What's the # of the person selling it?
Also if you have time, can you post all the pics you have on this xj? Thanks, and looks like a good find. :yelclap: Where is this jeep sitting in CH?

I checked and the only other pics I got were of the sign in the window and the phone number. The phone number is 916-206-7917 and it's on Sunrise just north of Antelope Road (right side coming from Antelope).

Nice, pic Billy. The dana 44 has been confirmed. :yelclap: Pretty cool to find a 87' with a factory dana 44, kind of makes you think why AMC/Chrysler stopped putting them in. I think I remember reading that there was a shortage and that's all they had on hand, that's why you can find 86-1/2' CJ-7's with them as well. Would it have killed Jeep to put dana 44's front and rear as in the Rubicon? At least as on option. This thing has great wheeler potential with that dana 44 rear axle/4.0L/auto aw4/fuel inj/etc. Thanks for the phone# and location. I'll have to check it out if the 1 in San Rafael falls through. Nice clean xj.

Yeah, I saw that last night and my wife said no way, NO MORE PROJECTS. That would make a sweet wheeler project. I just bought a new header panel and fender from J&W for $85 for my 97. Build a bumper and that thing would be ready to go. Well, after the Atlas, F&R 60s, 38s, long arm, etc.
I took a look at it while helping a buddy put a 3-1/2" re kit on his 94' zj. The xj looks great, nice and clean int/ext. Just has a sagging headliner and of course a nice strong dana 44 rear axle. Good builder potential. Someone might be able to drive away with this thing for $1k or less.
I can vouch for that Jeep that it does look very clean and nice. I told a few people I knew, but they aren't are serious about xj's as I am, but for the price it cannot be beat. It has a dana 44 rear axle and nice tan interior. The headliner is sagging a bit, but that's not that big of a deal. Grab it up someone. I'd like to see this thing get built up and wheeled by someone in . Like Billy said, it is N of Antelope before Twin Oaks on Sunrise Blvd on the right hand side, by a sign for strawberries in a vacant lot.
