XJ Dana 44 rear axle

I have a Dana 44 rear axle for sale. Pulled from a 1987 Jeep Cherokee with unknown miles (the cluster was already pulled). It is complete from drum to drum and includes the parking brake cables. The insides looked good but I forgot to count the gear teeth at the yard. It was in an automatic so it should have 3.55 gears...I will pull the cover this week and confirm. I also assume that it is an open carrier...again, I will have to remove the cover to confirm.

I pulled the axle to give someone a good deal. I already run a rear D44 so I have no use for this one. I was looking for other stuff and checked out the Cherokees - here was this gem. I couldn't let it go to waste, so I pulled it. I will have pictures in a day or two.

Asking $275. $250 if you are red. Make me an offer.

*Edit* - The axle has 3.07 gears with an open carrier. The axle is cleaning up real good and will look great once I paint it. The drums are in good shape and the pads have plenty of lift left. It spins fine and the backlash is within spec. I don't think anything has to be replaced.
