That's still the "test-bed" version, installed on an 88. He's going to release with a Powerdyne head unit, and he's still doing fuel tuning and such before he takes it to a dyno cell and finalises everything.
When I talked to him (doing research for my book) he said he'd planned on having a "Dyno Day" and testing all his engine mods before and after so he could post some real-world numbers - that's probably going to happen when he gets the supercharger ready for final tuning.
I naturally take this with a grain of salt (sorry, but I'm a born cynic,) but I agreed to leave off writing about his blower kit until he tells me it's done. So, I'll probably hear about it when he does the dyno thing.
True that it's more of a highway mod - I'd put it on my wife's 89, but I'd use a Roots or a Whipple for my 88. Used properly, it's a valid mod (and he decided to go with a centrifugal due to base cost - he wanted to do a "low-buck" supercharger kit. I don't blame him - used properly, it's a good mod.)
I will, of course, post what I find out if and when (short form - longer version will be reserved for an update to my book.)
