WTB: Wj knuckles

What's the going rate for WJ knuckles? I should be getting by the junkyard here in the next week or so and they usually have a few WJs there. I don't remember what I payed last year for mine but I think it was in the neighborhood of $50 for the set. Add in shipping and a few bucks for my time and I could probably do $80 - $100 to your door (depending on what the yard actually charges and what shipping charges are). Would either of you be interested at that price or am I way off base?

let me know what you find as far as costs... im trying to stick into the $50 range. but i also dont need the caliper mounts.

the teeves vs akibono calipers may be important to polar, as they use different mounts, and one is highly prefered over the other.

I didn't realize the mounts were different either, good to know. In any case, last time I was at the yard they had 6 WJs there so there should be plenty to choose from, and I'll try to just stick with Akebono since they're preferable anyway...

Weather permitting I'm going to try to go tomorrow afternoon, but I'm not real confident that the rain will hold off. We'll see.

So when I buy new calipers they can come with mounts so it doesn't matter which knuckle I get. If you can get the akibono mount with the caliper it will save me a buck or two though. Thanks

i dont think the mount is included with the caliper, you have to purchase it separate. the important part about getting the right mount and caliper is so you dont get stiffed with the core if you purchase new ones. but... im sure any box store wont notice the difference.

loaded?

i dont need calipers or mounts, just knuckles at a steal (to keep with my super low budget build). ill be running D44 brakes. lol. got spindles, shafts, calipers, mounts, rotors, and super winch hubs forrrrrrrr... a case of beer. lol. ideally would like to spend the same amount on knuckles.

I'm saying for me. I can get any WJ knuckle an then go get "loaded calipers" at the parts store. That comes with the mount, calipers, pads, and hardware. Ideally who wouldn't want to trade a case of brew for knuckles.
