WTB: Whole XJ

I have an itch to get another XJ. Looking for the cheapest junk around - the only hope that I have is it being post-Renix** - 1991+ & 4wd ...

I am ok with it not running. I am also ok with driving somewhere to pick one up, if it does run.

If anyone knows of one sitting in a field somewhere, let me know! I will continue to troll craigslist.

I live in downtown Portland.

** I`ve never actually worked on Renix systems, so maybe I could be convinced .. keeping sensors and fuel mixture right is important to me - I won`t be driving around at 12 mpg when 19-20 is perfectly realistic with everything tuned...

All of the good running high mile jeeps out there are renix. I've had better luck with them.
And HO had its best years 91-95.

Good to know - after posting I did a little reading and I agree. Plus finding a whole XJ with a manual trans in the ~$700 range on CL gives me hope!

Anyone care to share what they know about factory trim designations in the older models? I'd prefer manual seats, and I'm ok with either power or manual windows. Factory cruise, ac would be cool even if not working.

If you want a 5 speed look at 1990-95.
89 is a split year so some have an ax15 some don't.
If you find a good deal on a 87-89 with a ba10 its not the end of the world but its less desirable.

Thanks for the info, I did not know that. I `d prefer an ax15 since i`ve been through them.
