Under normal braking the zj and xj prop valve acts the same, it's when you do emergency braking is when the zj prop actually does what it is intended for with disk brakes compare to what the xj does for drum brakes
There is a little o ring in the end you can pull out that increases pressure to the rear brakes. I'd bet there are a few write ups here that might have better photos than my description.
I'd advise against pulling the O-ring, if you do a search you'll see it's not a good idea as it can really screw you if you get a leak or busted brake line.
My thoughts would be to go to a junk yard, pull the spring in the prop valve. The internal prop valve is different in color but physically it's the same, it's the spring that's different and does the work. Just pull it and swap
