I'm currently shopping for new tires and was thinking someone here might have some basically new 31's they might want to sell. All terrains only, not looking for mud tires. So Duratracs, BFG A/T's, Dueler Revo II's, Nitto Terra Graplers, etc...would be good. Really looking for something 75% tread left or more and no wheels, I already have those. Let me know if you have something.

Oh. I'm in the South Bay most of the time so nothing further than S.F., Berkley, Hollister would be preferable. If you don't have tires to sell but you have a suggestion of where to get some at a good price, I'll take that info too.

Craigslist would probably be best bet in your area.

i have some 31/10.5/15 tires with an 30" spare and 31" a/t spare that i just pulled off my 4runner. ill try to post pics. Im thinking like 100$ obo for the 6 tires plus the 4 yota rims and the spare is on a XJ rim. youll
5 31s on yota rims, one 31 on Xj stock rim

Jon -- What kind of tires are they? Wear (even, depth, etc)?

I've been looking at CL lately and not much showing up in that size.

Call Pacific Tire Outlet in Milpitas, that guy has insane prices. All his prices are for mounted, balanced, free rotation and free flat repair. Just tell him what brand you want and tire size, be prepared because he is a fast talker and wants to get on and off the phone. Nice guy though! I've been using him for nearly 10 years, I don't even bother doing my tires on my own cars and I just send all my customers there too. You really can't beat his prices, lol. Anyway, I'll stop ranting.

FYI, I wouldn't bother with TireRack IMHO. I have a whole sale account with them and I barely save money in the end, and that's with a discount. You still have to pay shipping then mounting and balancing. With all the waiting, ordering online, then taking your tires to get done at a shop its hardly worth the effort in the end.

wear is ok. they arent great , not bad. no idea what brand. they are sitting outside my garage ill go check. just pulled them off my 4runner sunday for some 33s.

I will check with Pacific Tire Outlet since they are pretty much walking distance from my place. My brother and dad also started buying tires there recently and they seem to have gotten ok prices.

Any idea what brands they carry? I'm trying to narrow it down between the Duratracs, BFG A/T's, maybe Revo II's, and...what I'm really looking for it a really good tire for street/long highway trip use and pretty good in the dirt and rocks. Not a super good off-road tire that is just okay on the road.

The BFG A/Ts are a really great all around tire, tread life is excellent and they seem to have a pretty good sidewall, they are quiet on the road too. I really like the Revos as well. They carry a lot of brands, but when you call give him the tire size you want and the brand, otherwise he might just quote you a cheaper tire because the price is lower. I got my last set of 32's there, I think I paid 644 for 4 tires mounted and balanced.

Called yesterday and he said the Duratracs are $165/tire without mounting or anything. He said to call back though because he wants to check another warehouse before giving a final cost. The more I read about the Duratracs, the more I like them. Unless there is a significant cost savings going to the BFG or something else, then I will likely go that route. The Falken Rocky Mountain AT at America's Tire Co. looks pretty good and is cheaper than the rest.
