WTB lifted cherokee

Looks like the rear is sagging, paints pretty bad. bumper is homebrew, need to see how it is mounted. back looks the same from what i can briefly see.

if the interior is real good and no rust think 4k is the max i would go depending on how engine runs and how it drives.

still think you can find better for that price.

look at this one, not lifted but looks real clean, and he had it posted a couple days earlier for 4k

98 for 3250, what you save you can buy a lift kit

Unless you have put a lift in and know how it works and what does what, would recommend you get a non lifted one and lift it yourself. good knowledge to have. if you cant do the work or have no interest in it, then keep looking for a better one then the one you posted

lift is minor, get something that is a sound vehicle, good engine, good tranny, good axles, and preferrably good paint/interior.
lift wont help you when you are broke down on the side of the road

Yeah I don't know so much about that one, Seems a little to much of a trail Rig.

To some degree, I agree with Apostle.

The thing is, a XJ with a Lift is a lot cheaper, but you're going to have to know what is going on and you'll have to be able to fix things that break becuase of it.

I have to disagree with the "XJ with a lift is a lot Chaper" statement. I think most people (who don't know any better), Put a premium price tag on their "lifted rigs". I totally agree with Apostle, about buying a nice stock rig, and modifying it as you go. I'm sure there are a few people on here (including myself) that if you buy the Beer and Brats, would help you install a lift. Functionality and Reliability should be your #1 concern when buying a rig. People with lifted rigs typically are alot harder on their rigs than a stock daily driver. Buying a stock rig is kind of like a fresh start in a sense. You can build it how you want it, and know what kind of abuse (if any) you put it thru. Just my .2 cents

Thanks for the advice. The problem is I no longer have a place to install a lift. I was an ASE mechanic for a few years. Not that I know all about installing a lift just that i can work on cars no problem. So i was looking for something already set up.

Like Hurley said, beer and brats.

Just from reading here, alot of good people that would be happy to help you install the lift, and sure a couple even have a spot for you to do it

the rig i got was already lifted, but it had problems. couldnt pass up the price though, only reason i got it, that and i wanted something to work on to keep me busy. still needs work, but i have nothing but time on my hands

if i was in your shoes, with your funds, would get a 99-01 with no lift, but runs and looks great. besides winter is comming and all you need is 4wd as the trail runs more then likely will be few and far between

I checked it out and didn't get it. I'm thinking about it. My question is it had trouble starting he said it was because it hadn't run in a while. What do you guys think?

What type of trouble? Was it just a small delay, or did it take a significant amount of time to start? For being a 2000, with new plugs and what not, Even after sitting for quite some time, if you turn the key on, and wait a couple seconds (usually until the beep stops), it should fire right up after a couple seconds.

When he started it took three times and then it started maybe a total of 30 sec. Then i drove it a bit shut it off and started it and it took maybe 10 sec.

mine sat for a month or two right before i got it. it fired right up

pass on this one man, especially since you dont have a place to work on it

If you decide to buy that one and buy your own lift kit, im down for helping... dont got a place but im positive someone will have a place.
