WTB hilift jack prefer 48 inch near redlands CA!!

I know I'm gonna get hell for this statement but Harbor Freight sales a hi-lift and with their 20% off coupon it's right at $40. Look under "farm jack". People say not to use their hi-lifts but I have used one of theirs on my last 3 Jeeps and one on my Land Cruiser and have used them MANY times without an issue. Just keep it oiled and out of the elements and it will do you well. Now bring on the hate.

our local hardware store sells them. marked as farm jacks, made in USA. are these any different than the high lift brand?

farm jack and hi-lift are the same thing. Hi-lift is a brand and farm-jack is what it is.

ya i was just wondering if the high lift brand had any advantages. i know they look pretty much the same. but do any have features that the other dont? if i remember correctly i think the high lift comes with an add on loop at the top to use as a winch/come-a-long type thing. i dont think the one at the hardware store has that but i am sure it can be adapted.

The HF one doesn't have it, but there are a few other farm jacks out there that do have the attachment at the end. The amazon one has the attachment.

so does this mean no one will sell me theres? :(

Not a lot of people sell recovery gear, even when they sale their rig, they tend to keep those things to use on their next project. They pop up on craigslist and here from time to time but not real often. Your best bet is to buy new and keep it for a LONG time.
