Didn't someone have one for sale recently? It looks as though there's a strong possibility that my trans might be hosed on my trail rig..just in time for desert season too :-(

remember that time i told you call me when you need jeep chit brother :D lol

i just rebuilt an aw4 for a friend in my shop......the kits $265

but ive found ones around for $100 in great shape a few times. your call.

also hope you didnt pay for a gear install :D

your uncle still work at that place with the stuff?

yea, i know...but they're reasonably cheaper and very abundent. I'd rather get a known workign one and drop it in so i can get my junk back on the road for some trips coming up then rebuild the one in there on my own time...ya know?

yup, step dad still working there. parts at cost def helps ;)

anyways, if anyone has a known good working one, i'll take it off your hands.

I don't know if the internals are the same but I have a 2wd aw4 up for grabs. It's located in pasadena. Came from a crashed jeep I parted a while ago. Was a good running unit before crash. Will sell cheap!

output shaft is different. Probably good for hard parts though.

130 I think? Don't recall exactly. Spent the extra 30 bucks for a 60 day warranty. Grabbed a spare front drive shaft and some front axle shafts too. Productive day at the yard lol

I think my trans may be taking a shit too. On the way home from the desert yesterday it started making some sound loud winding sound. It still shifts fine but just got really loud coming from the shifter boot. I have a 96 manual so that's the aw4 correct?
