WTB: Adjustable trackbar

Guys, I'm going to jack my junk up 3" and need an adjustable track bar.

Anyone have anything laying around? I don't suppose I can use the stock one from what the shop said, so I want to do it right the first time.

You can redrill the mount.
 
Well its not 'doing it wrong' per se. Its like doing a hack and tap SYE its just another way of doing something. I wouldn't liken it to an AAL vs full pack. But if you want to do it right get the TNT kit the RE 1660 or the Kevin's offroad one, which is a modified JKS unit.

3"? Move the hole about 1/4 to 1/2" in board depending on where it needs to set.

And yes, it IS doing it "right" the first time. You can even take that opportunity to clearance your upper spring mounts and lower track bar mount for additional down travel.

AND if you break out in the middle of bum-F Ejypt, you can get another one without any special concerns.

Well "I'm" not doing it, a 4 x 4 shop is. I don't have the place, tools, time or knowledge to do it. All I know is they said it would need to have one to be "right" . Maybe they don't want to do the drilling, don't know about doing it (highly unlikely) , or are worried about liability, I don't know. :dunno:

And I've read threads like this is why I wanted to go with one. I've been searching and reading, and it just seems the way to go.

Correct me if I'm wrong...please.

No problem, they may just want to do a bolt on solution.

The RE trackbars are good and solid. Just keep the Heim joint lightly lubed or it will rust and get loose.

Rusty's makes what appears to be a good trackbar... But there is a real good reason why the factory never put a replaceable tie rod end as an upper pivot point, and that's because they don't put up with a lot of abuse and snap off. So I don't recomend it.
