You might also consider a ZJ tank if you are having trouble finding what you want. My understanding is that those will also fit.

Thanks guys, I'm looking into the tank differences now. I don't need the sender or anything, this will be used for the last item on my LS swap. Just need to adapt the tank to the chevy pump/sender I already have.

Yeh go with a ZJ tank. They hold 3 gallons more than the XJ 97-01. They take up pretty much the same space.

Wouldn't there be an interference issue with a skid plate? Just curious.

Not that I have heard. The factory ZJ skid fits on the XJ no problems (Just re-drilling holes) and the link below the ZJ tank fits in an aftermarket XJ skid no issues.
