Hi folks. I have lurked in your forum for some time, and being deployed I've finally got some money to put into my blue-purple beastie. I have a Dana 35 rear and from reading around I can't help but think it's a weak point I can do without. Especially since I can't find lockers to put in it with my 3.08 gears. I plan to regear anyway for bigger tires, but with the labor cost it looks like I'd do better pulling a used axle set with the ratio I want.
So, without further rambling:
- Looking for a front and rear set (preferably bolt-in) of axles geared at 4.11
- Dana 30 front is fine, Dana 44 or Ford 8.8 rear preferred
- If either one has a selectable locker, I will be even happier
I'm still deployed, but if anyone is in the Raleigh area my folks would be willing to take care of the transaction and store them for me until I get back. So, long shot but I have cast out my feeler. Anyone?
