Hey guys, apparently I smashed my oil pan at the toy drive and never noticed it. Any one in the south bay have a gently used oil pan I can buy? A new one is 92 bucks so it is what it is but I figured I'd ask on here first. Its for a 87' 4.0.

Thanks!

Thanks man, good looking out, I always forget about that web site. I ended up ordering one of Summitracing, believe it not they have tons of Jeep stuff, repair stuff, etc and I know you live in Sac, you get "free" over night shipping too. The free is a joke, its UPS ground, it does come next day but there is like a 8 or 9 dollar processing fee...lol so I guess its not "free shipping". The other cool thing if you havent bought from Summit is your invoice has a tare off RMA on it so returns are super easy.

Yah i LOVE summit. since they are right over the hill, unless they drop ship, i get everything super fast. I use them when i need things quick. what was the cost?

Its kind of annoying because I have whole sale accounts with a bunch of distributors and the pan I found for 90 bucks was through my pro account at NAPA. I had to wait to get it from Sac, which would be next day, or order it from Summit and get it next day for half as much. Mind you the Summit one is a different brand but still. Im a shop and I constanly have to fight internet prices when my customers call me out on stuff. Also, the internet has tons of garbage though, I wouldnt use half the alternators, starters and timing belt components out there. Just because its a good price doesnt mean its a good deal. Anyways Im done ranting...

WOW. 50$ for a new Dorman, cheaper than rockauto, faster shipping too. good to know, that is awesome.

Yeah I know! Believe it or not Summit has all kinds of random service parts. They regularly have Dorman stuff at a really competitive price and the service is great. Hell, they are open 9 to 9 seven days a week, since your in Sac you could potentially leave home before dinner and drive to the show room and buy a last minute part to go wheeling the next morning. It would be an all nighter but its cool that its right over 80.
