Wounded Warrior Build The Raptured Duck buggy

I really hate to be the dick, but if it's just for trails, why didn't you leave it as an xj? would have surely been an assload easier for amputees to get in and out of. Hell, i have all my limbs in working order and i can barely get in and out of a class 10 car. Would have also been cheaper, fit 4 people, and would likely wheel better too with less work.

That's a pretty unique rear link design. Were you able to cycle the suspension like that?

It looks like the lower link is just for mock up? :dunno:

Damn Dan,
There you go using logic again!

Yeah, since its more for trails then hard crawling. Just better all around option for us, we have had a few spare shafts donated and have ordered chromoly and sleeved this one.

So what you're saying is even though you were given a free, complete dana 60, what you want to do is give a wounded warrior a car that cannot support larger than 31" tires, and at that will leave them broken on the trail?

Spend the $200 to hit a junkyard and buy a dana 44 at least. The dana 35 *will not* hold up.

This is getting retarded. ....

I was thinking it... Glad somebody said it. With large tires the D35 is not capable of street use, let alone easy trails.

I will happily take any 3 wounded warriors wheeling any time that I have the money for gas. You name it. I have been trying to do this with a group that takes wounded warriors wheeling but they have not really had many trips yet.

same here, happy to take anyone out!

What is going on with this?

After getting caught selling off donated parts it got real quiet.
I really hope it's not another one of those scams to get the public to donate in the name of our soldiers for personal gain.
With a showing like that it doesn't look good to say the least.
Let's hope for the best.

The forum basically called this guy a thief... DESPITE the fact that it seems everyone involved with the donated axle seems happy with the transaction.

And now you wonder why he's not posting updates? Really?

But the tech was so intriguing and innovative.....

i don't think anyone actually is wondering more just talking smack.

this build has great intentions, i applaud that. but from the pics and the posts it looks like nobody working on it has any clue at all what they're doing, and there is no plan for the build. everything they're doing makes no sense whatsoever, with the giving up of a trussed and setup for links d60 to truss and link a d35 being the icing on the cake.

sorry, but it's just too easy to make fun of. :dunno:

I see it as the opposite.

They came out to deceive and ended up creating something beyond brilliant.
